Our first building in 1995 was approximately 4,000 square feet. The stonework that is behind the cross was used to build the fireplace in the Fireside Room.
Our current sanctuary and classroom space was completed in the Fall of 2000. While under construction, we met on Sundays at the old Traughber Junior High (now the Senior Center/YMCA) in Oswego for about 8 months.
The Children’s Ministry Wing was occupied in the Summer of 2006. The construction of this building was an exciting event as we were still able to meet onsite and view the progress from week to week.
Before occupying both of these buildings, special prayer services were held that included everyone writing their prayers on the floor for God’s blessing on the ministries, and more importantly, the lives saved and changed here through Jesus Christ. These prayers are under the carpeting in various locations in these buildings.
The Lord has always provided through the sacrificial giving of His people for the needs at Harvest. The original building’s 7-year loan was paid off in 4 years. The present sanctuary 7-year loan was fulfilled in 4.5 years. The children’s ministry wing was paid off in May 2010, keeping the trend going. We are so thankful to be debt-free, and know it is the hand of God on Harvest.
An additional 19 acres was given to HBC by a family in the church. This $1 million + gift brings us to a total of 31 acres! Not only this family, but others have caught the vision and are giving sacrificially! Be encouraged with God’s goodness to us, and commit to being obedient with the Lord’s resources. All praise and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Site work began in September 2011 to prepare the land and resolve drainage issues with our neighboring farmers. During the Spring of 2012, parking lots were added and land cleared for the new sanctuary.
