Marcia and husband Rich moved back to the Northern Illinois area recently after living in Texas. They have parented 5 children and enjoy grandparenting 8.5 grandchildren.
Where did you grow up and what did you enjoy about it?
Marcia: The first 14 years of my life were spent in a small rural town in Ohio. I spent lots of time with my grandmothers learning to sew, cook and garden because there weren’t other children near us.
What is your favorite food?
Marcia: I love my grandmother’s homemade sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and pork roast!
What hobby do you enjoy?
Marcia: I have two – quilting and scrapbooking. Both deal with lots of color and design using different mediums.
What books have you read recently that really encouraged your walk with God?
Marcia: I enjoy reading Max Lucado’s books as they deal with everyday life situations. His books really make me think!
Is there anything unique that others might enjoy knowing about you?
Marcia: Believe it or not, I wrote the lyrics to a song for a country-western band and have a copyright. I don’t even listen to country music! That’s a stitch!
