Laura grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, and has many fond memories of growing up there. Laura and her husband Tony have 3 daughters and twin grandsons.
What are some of your favorite memories growing up in and around Wheaton?
Laura: Spending summers at Northside Park swimming; times with my dad ice skating in the winter; going with friends to The Little Popcorn Store! In the summers, we often traveled to the Ozarks to visit my grandparents.
What is your favorite food?
Laura: Soups, stews and easy crockpot meals. My husband Tony is a wonderful cook!
Laura: I like a variety of Christian music: bluegrass such as The Isaacs and others – Rend Collective, Hillsong, Vertical Church Band, etc…
What is something we may not know about you?
Laura: I am a DAR (Daughter of the Revolution). My revolutionary ancestor was Christopher Burlingame.
What does your quiet time look like?
Laura: I usually sit at the kitchen table or a comfy chair at night. I use my Ipad to read the Holy Bible app, OnePlace.com, SheReadsTruth. I enjoy devotional books and writings by Warren Wiersbe, John Piper, J. Vernon McGee and Beth Moore.
My favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
